About us

Our mission: WHAC is a registered charity and is supported by a number of funding partners to provide high quality services that are free to the end user. We provide women in Northumberland with free quality counselling, personal development, education and information on issues contributing to their general health and wellbeing.

Our values: WHAC is a key organisation in the network of provision for women in Northumberland. We aim make a difference to women's lives by providing a safe and supportive environment. We are positive, non-judgemental, respectful and professional in everything we do. We are committed to being accessible and welcoming to all. We encourage women to take responsibility for their own physical, emotional and social well-being, and to help them develop a positive attitude.

Our team

WHAC is a highly professional organisation with comprehensive staff and volunteer support systems. We have a small core team of staff with a wealth of experience, as well as a team of skilled volunteers and we are committed to providing high quality services and support to anyone who needs it.

Our board members come from a range of backgrounds and bring with them a wide breadth of specialist skills and experience.

Because we work with a number of different partners and funders to deliver a range of services we have produced a brand toolkit to help staff, volunteers, funders, stakeholders and partner organisations to communicate who we are and what we do and to ensure consistency across all of our communications.
