What is WHAC
W.H.A.C. is a registered charity which provides services relating to the health and well being of women and adolescent girls in Northumberland. We are based in an end terraced house just off the main shopping street in Ashington.
The services are delivered by trained volunteers who are supported by paid staff. A Health Trainer, employed by the NHS, is also based at the centre to offer help and advice on lifestyle issues.
We also have information, directories and leaflets from other organisations both locally and out of the area.
As a charity, the continued delivery of all our free services is dependant on securing adequate funding from various sources including donations.
